‘It’s about time’ : BP Fossella kicks off Staten Island Borough President’s Cup with local HS girls’ hoopsters

Borough President Vito Fossella kicked off the festivities for the inaugural Staten Island Borough President’s Cup on Tuesday at the College of Staten Island. The games for the high school girls’ basketball tournament won’t officially get underway until Friday night, but players and coaches from most of the 13 participating schools joined the BP at the podium in the campus’ Sports and Recreation Center on Tuesday.
Of course, each of the participants is hopeful to return to CSI for the championship game on Feb. 3.
